Professor D. Raja Ganesan is a former professor and Head of the Department of Education, University of Madras.
Dr Ganesan has a PhD from the Dr Radhakrishnan Institute for Advanced Study in Philosophy, University of Madras. He was a visiting professor at the Centre for Educational Research, Madurai Kamaraj University.
Dr Ganesan was nominated by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Member of the Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR) and the Research and Projects Committee as a specialist in Philosophy of Education in 2002-2005.
Dr Ganesan has been the editor of the journal Experiments in Education for 31 years. He was conferred the Seva Ratna title of the Centenarian Trust, Chennai in 1997 for his contribution to educational journalism and dream studies.
Dr Ganesan has authored several articles and poems for Vedanta Kesari, Bhavan’s Journal, The Hindu Young World, Times of India and Indian Literature.
Dr Ganesan was elected twice to the Executive Board of the International Sociological Association Research Committee in Mexico and New Delhi. He was a member of the Peace Education Commission of the International Peace Research Association.
